De Vliegenierster van Kazbek plot

The Aviator Star of Kazbek is set against the backdrop of World War II. Dreamy Marie lives on the island of Texel. The arrival of a group of Georgian soldiers, including a musician and a film operator, causes changes. Goga and his friends bring color, life and love to Marie's life on the gray North Sea island. Spurred on by the heroine of the Soviet film musical "The Aviator of Kazbek", which the Georgians drag with them, watching at every opportunity that presents itself, Marie takes her fate into her own hands. In the midst of the chaos of their freedom struggle, she wrestles herself from the oppressive reality by learning to trust her fantasy.
