De Nacht van de Wilde Ezels plot
Film director Waldo van Romondt encounters many problems when making his feature film. The actress Carmen, whom he desperately wants as a lead actress, has still not committed. The German co-producer (the grandson of Fritz Lang) gets impatient and makes demands. Waldo's private life is also in disarray. He himself lives in a tent in the attic, while his wife Joanna is busy moving to a new apartment where she has a psychiatric practice. She takes the stress out on her patients. Besides, there is still no money. Despite Waldo's optimism, the situation proves untenable.
