De Gales Hus plot
Aina wants to get away from everything, but the insane asylum isn't a peaceful place to be. After throwing herself through a shop window, Aina is admitted to an institution. She is forced to participate in therapy sessions, driving lessons and healing conversations with the people who want to help her. Especially with Stetson, named after his own hat, who considers it an honor to bring a broken soul back to life. In the madhouse, Aina learns that madness often makes a lot of sense.

A young woman wants to commit suicide and is admitted to a psychiatric institution. But she doesn't think it's necessary and feels much better than the people around her. The film builds beautifully, and the relationships with her fellow patients are also beautifully developed. The acting is excellent, and there are some beautiful and poignant scenes and events in the film. I especially loved the restaurant scene. It's not all cheerful in this film, but that only makes it more realistic. It's a shame so few people here at Moviemeter know this film. It deserves better.
