Donald Bradley is a wealthy young man and the boss of a large shipping company. He is engaged to Joan and the two plan to get married and start a family. During a night out, Donald meets young Elise Cooper. He ends up in bed with her after one too many drinks. However, he does not know that he is now infected with syphilis and therefore unknowingly infects Joan.
