Cyrano de Bergerac plot

Cyrano de Bergerac (Christopher Plummer) is a very skilled soldier as well as a good poet. He is hopelessly in love with his niece but does not dare to admit it because of the enormous size of his nose. When it turns out that his niece does have an eye for another young soldier, Cyrano gives up hope. However, the relationship with the other soldier turns out to be unpassionate and Cyrano takes pity on both.
