Curse of the Starving Class plot

An American family buys a worthless piece of land on the advice of real estate agent Taylor. The land should yield a fortune in the future, as project developers also want the land. The story turns out to be a big lie and the family gets into serious trouble. The father of the family turns to alcohol and the mother wants to escape the troubles of her dream city, Paris. In order to realize her dream, she surreptitiously seduces real estate agent Taylor, who has destroyed her family.
