Country Life plot
"Sometimes the further you travel the closer you get to home."
Jack Dickens and his niece run the family business, a farm in rural Australia in the 1920s, to support their brother-in-law Alexander, a literary critic in London. The hoopla begins when Alexander returns to the farm with his wife Deborah. He turns out to be an arrogant failure who also wants to sell the company for which Jack has worked all his life.
