Consuming Passion plot

Three stories about women associated with the publishing house Mills & Boon. In 1908, Charles Boon and his business partner Gerald Mills start their publishing company. Meanwhile, Charles's wife is determined to live life as a modern woman. In 1970, we see Janet Bottomley, who spends most of her time caring for her elderly mother. In 2008 Kirstie, a teacher in her thirties, is attracted to one of her students.
