Complici del Silenzio plot
Maurizio Gallo, an Italian sports journalist, and his photographer Ugo are sent to Buenos Aires to cover the 1978 World Cup. This sporting event is the ideal opportunity for the military Junta of Videla to cover up the gross violations of human rights it is committing. After meeting Ana, a member of a secret guerrilla movement that opposes the dictatorship and with whom he falls in love instantly, Gallo becomes entangled in a military and political tangle that puts the major sporting event on the back burner.
