John is a high-spirited teenager who gets good grades in school and enjoys playing on the school football team. But John is also partially deaf. When the school doctor advises against letting him play on the football team, John's world collapses. Supported by his girlfriend, John embarks on a long battle with the school board to make his dreams come true.
