Children of Divorce plot
Kitty Flanders' parents, Jean Waddington and Ted Larrabee, are divorced. Girls Kitty and Jean were sent to a convent school by their mothers, and Ted's upbringing may have been the best. When all three are grown up, Ted falls madly in love with Jean Waddington. Kitty loves Ludovico de Saxe, an impoverished prince. However, she refuses to marry him because her mother Katherine Flanders has explicitly pointed out to her the need to marry someone for his money. So Kitty sets her sights on rich Ted, even though Jean is her friend. After a night of drinking, Ted wakes up to find that he is married to Kitty…
