After seventeen years of absence, Karen (Melissa Gilbert) returns to her hometown, where she mysteriously disappeared as a twelve-year-old girl. She explains to her parents about a kidnapping and sexual abuse, but when Karen's father suddenly dies, the residents, including her old and new flame Greg (Michael Reilly Burke), start to suspect her of everything.
