Diane McCarthy (Leah Pipes) is a travel television producer. While on her way to her next assignment, she decides to drive because of an approaching storm. This goes well until her car breaks down. She decides to spend the night at a bed and breakfast in the town of Forest Cove. Owner Helen (Lindsay Wagner) offers her a free room until her car is repaired. Diane accepts the offer. She meets Helen's son Andy (Rick Malambri). She is so impressed by him that she decides to change her plans: the next episode of her television program will be about Forest Cove. Helen is excited and hopes it will generate more business. Andy isn't happy about it; he is planning to sell the failing business. Despite his objections, Diana and Helen continue to work on the program. More complications arise when Jared, Diane's ex and host of the show, arrives.
