As the 2012 'Maple Spring' student protest movement in Quebec fades, a dark storm of violence erupts. Driven by a growing sense of frustrated powerlessness and a desire for a new life, Klas Batalo, Ordine Nuovo, Tumulto and Giutizia form an avant-garde splinter group. Their deep-seated hostility to the prevailing social order finds ambiguous political expression in guerrilla warfare and the throwing of Molotov cocktails.

Four members of a radical, revolutionary action group do all sorts of things, but nothing useful. Just like director Denis and Lavoie, they inundate us with philosophical slogans and pamphlets and anyone who wants to know what horrors can be conjured up with terms such as 'alternative theatre', 'absurdism' and other pseudo-innovative stuff is in the right place. Three hours of bickering, an abundance of nudity, sex, not to mention a shemale [Gabrielle Tremblay] who often shows their genitals. A tendentious, pretentious horror of which the only remarkable thing is that I still managed to watch this for 180 minutes (!). Let them create a prize for that!
