Café com Canela plot
Violeta lives in a close-knit community in Bahia, Brazil. She is not the only one who struggles with feelings of mourning and loss, there are fellow sufferers: a grandmother completely dependent on care, a woman desperately looking for love, a young doctor who, after twenty years, by his great love, a much older man, is still abandoned. Everyone thought they lived together as father and son, until the old man dies, the loss is complete and the truth is revealed. Then Violeta meets the elder Margarida, who mourns alone and in silence in a neighboring village. In a loving way and with practical rituals, Violeta takes her out of her isolation: scrubbing, cleaning up and making coffee with cinnamon.
