Julius Caesar takes possession of the Egyptian capital Alexandria and tries to resolve a feud between the young princess Cleopatra and her younger brother Ptolemy. This film is quite successful.
Greatly started (type of spectacle film) but just not much better than "Cleopatra" from 1963. Also the acting, except for Vivien Leigh and Claude Rains, was not really good. For the rest also a bit tame every now and then. This one from 45 is just not as beautiful as the film from 63. For the rest the sets, clothing, setting and how it is all started, are not bad. So a small 3.0.
