Bush Mama plot

A half documentary, half fictional story about the political awakening of a young mother in the black neighborhood of Watts in Los Angeles. Young black mother Dorothy awaits her husband's return. However, TC, a Vietnam veteran, does not receive a hero's welcome, but ends up in prison after being arrested for an uncommitted crime. Dorothy is dependent on benefits, poverty and unemployment determine her life. Slowly but surely, the young woman is radicalising.
