Buffalo Rider plot
"A girl, a boy, and an ox."
After her mother's death, Jenny becomes withdrawn and hostile. As a kind of shock therapy, her American stepfather sends her to her grandmother in rural Thailand. Jenny sees herself as an outcast until she meets the deaf-mute Boonrod, who has been rejected by the villagers and whose only friend is a water buffalo.
