Bucking the Barrier plot

Klondike miner Kit Carew inherits a large estate in England from his partner Cavendish. When Carew travels to London, he meets Cavendish's beautiful daughter Blanche and his debauched son Luke. Luke, afraid of losing his comfortable lifestyle, tries in vain to get rid of Carew. Despite her dangerous brother, Blanche falls in love with Carew and they plan to get married. But when Blanche is waiting at the altar, Carew doesn't show up…
