Boris I plot

The film follows the life and deeds of Boris I, the ruler of late ninth century Bulgaria. A brilliant statesman and diplomat in his youth, he suffers grievous defeats in wars against neighboring countries without having to give up territory. In 864 Bulgaria is converted to Christianity under his care. This turns out to be a golden move, because it brings peace with the Eastern Roman Empire.
