Bandyta plot

As part of the probation process, former criminal Gerry Brutecki (Til Schweiger) is sent to a neglected orphanage in Romania. There he unexpectedly cares about the fate of the children, but also meets his love, the sister Mara (Polly Walker). However, when Gerry begins to make efforts to make the orphans' lives more bearable, trouble comes his way. The director of the orphanage (Pete Postlethwaite) is only after profit, which he makes by selling the children to rich people in Western Europe.
