Ba Qian Li Lu Yun He Yue plot
After the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War, Lingyu joins a touring theater company because she finds the group's performances inspiring. During her travels she learns a lot about the world and the theater and she falls in love with a colleague, Libin. Despite adversity, the actors continue to find their work worthwhile because they have a major impact on audiences. Lingyu and Libin get married on Victory Day. They return to Shanghai and temporarily live with relatives. However, they quickly become dismayed by the social injustice and inequality they see around them. Libin finds a job as a teacher and Lingyu becomes an investigative reporter. Her revelations put a cousin of hers - involved in corrupt deals - in trouble.
