Ausma plot
The young pioneer Janis is inspired by the opportunities that came to their village with the creation of the collective farm "Dawn". For him, the picture is clear: there are those who are direct and honest, the so-called "reds", the representatives of a new order who cooperate with the Soviet government and the communists, and there are the bad or "whites", those who not accept this new and bright life. Janis' father, a kulak (self-employed farmer), is firmly against and prevents the creation of the collective farm.
