Assandira plot
Soaked to the bone, Costantino sinks into the haystack, like old wood left on the shore by a stormy sea. Torrential rain has just extinguished the fire that in a single night destroyed Assandira, a farmhouse deep in the forests of Sardinia. But the rain has not extinguished the pain, the endless remorse for the son lost in the flames, the son he could not save. The first to arrive are the carabinieri and the young investigating judge. Costantino tries to tell them what happened last night, to explain how it all began.
