Arie plot

The last years of the very elderly Mr. Manders (Aart Staartjes) are completely dominated by loneliness. He's gone, his zest for life has drained away. The only thing that can bring a smile is Arie, his canary. And it is precisely the death of this bright yellow point of light in his gray existence that brings unexpected joy and new friendship.
