Anand plot
The film is about Anand Sehgal (Rajesh Khanna), a cancer patient, who despite knowing this fact does not want to heal, but wants to make the most of the rest of his life. Against this is Bhaskar Banarjeee (Amitabh Bachchan), a moderate doctor, who sees the dark side of the world and the people around him. Bhaskar's association with Anand makes him see the colors of life behind all the desperation and complexity in his life and teach him a lesson. After finding happiness again and changing the lives of others, Anand leaves them all. This inspires Bhaskar to write a book about Anand's life.
