An Französischen Kaminen plot

During a NATO operation, a group of German soldiers arrive in the town of Valadon in northern France. In a chapel here, innocent French hostages were murdered by the German occupiers during the Second World War. When Jeanne, the daughter of the local mayor, is in danger, Private Klaus Wetzlaff comes to the rescue. A growing relationship develops between the two, which is not appreciated by everyone, because Jeanne's mother was also among the hostages who were killed at the time.
