Amateur Daddy plot
"Vibrant with the Happy Spirit of Youth and Romance"
Jim Gladden is a foreman on a construction site. He is partly responsible for the accidental death of Fred Smith, one of his employees. Jim is able to make amends by granting Fred's deathbed request to go to Scotch Valley and care for his wife and children. However, when Jim arrives in the small town, he is told that there are two Fred Smith families in Scotch Valley, the rich Smiths and the poor Smiths.
