Rivaldo Torres and Teodoro Xavier have been friends since their early teens. They are releasing a book called "Western Feeling". During the launch party, they meet people at a seedy place called Spiritual Pastry Shop who remind them of various episodes from their youth - mainly in the 1960s, a time of social, cultural and political unrest.
