Abschied vom Falschen Paradies plot

When the Turkish woman Elif ends up in a German prison cell for 6 years for the murder of her husband, she hardly speaks the German language. But over time, she learns those from her fellow inmates. Slowly she breaks free from Turkish traditions and customs and gets to know a new kind of "freedom" greater than she has ever known outside of prison. But when she hears that she will be released early and will be deported to Turkey, despair sets in. She tries to commit suicide because in Turkey, in addition to a new trial, she also gets revenge from her in-laws.
