Abschied plot

"Will the young master be here for dinner?"

In August 1914 the First World War begins. Hans Gastl, the 17-year-old son of a Munich prosecutor, decides to turn against the zeitgeist under the motto: "I will not make your war mine". This decision shocks his father and marks a turning point in Hans's life; he says goodbye to his classmates and his family.
