A Promise of Time Travel plot

"What would you change... if you could?"

While working at a bookstore, Zelda accidentally bumps into Cassie. Cassie is a childhood friend who has become estranged from Zelda. Zelda is confronted by Cassie and an old classmate with the existence of an incomplete time machine. When Zelda decides to delve into time travel theories, it turns out that her current life is different than expected. Against her will, Zelda is dragged into the quest for the rest of the time machine and discovers things that may not have been meant for her.
