Tôi Yama-nami no Hikari plot
Japanese widow Etsuko lives in England in the 1980s. She talks to her daughter about the suicide of her other daughter. Her thoughts wander further to her previous life in Japan and the relationship she had with the woman Sachiko and her daughter Mariko. Gradually it becomes clear what prompted Etsuko to start a new life in England.
