A Friend of Mine plot
Seventy-year-old Mati is a passionate book lover and has a job in a library. He shares the rest of his little free time with his wife. When his wife suddenly dies, his life destabilizes violently. Neither his daughter nor his books offer any help. Loneliness and indifference lead him to want to commit suicide. However, Sass, a sixty-year-old man who travels to various public libraries with a backpack full of books, little by little begins to rekindle Mati's interest in life.
