Professor Adam Evans is married to the beautiful Karen. When Karen discovers that Adam is having an affair with beautiful young college student Lindsey Rutledge, she first wants to leave Adam, but then decides on a different tactic. She begins an affair with Pete, a smooth young man. This is much to the dismay of Adam, who, despite his relationship with Lindsey, still loves Karen. Tensions and problems arise, which become even greater when the winter holidays arrive. Adam and Karen always spend their vacation in their mountain country house. Karen doesn't feel like staying at home while Adam and Lindsey go to the country house. This is solved in a modern way: They go with four people.
