9 Dney Odnogo Goda plot

A Russian nuclear scientist and his professor are conducting an experiment somewhere in Siberia when they are accidentally exposed to a huge dose of radioactive radiation. The professor dies, and the physicist is told that any amount of extra radiation is deadly. Nevertheless, he continues with his work. He becomes so obsessed with his work that he ignores his lover, who is seduced by a friend. After he eventually marries her, he is again involved in an accident.
