During a weekend, students and teachers gather in an old-fashioned beach hotel for a wedding. It is the hotel Chigasakikan, where the film master Ozu Yasujirô retired to write his screenplays. Between the various characters in the hotel, old and new irritations and infatuations play under the skin, and sometimes just as openly.
