Zwarte Limburgers plot
In the year 1944-1945, about seventy children were born in Limburg to African-American liberators. Huub, Rosy, Trudy, Ed and Wanda were among the first coloreds in Limburg. They are all now around 70 years old. Discrimination, prejudice and oppression were part of their daily lives. The women, in particular, had a hard time. Former machine bank worker Huub Habets from Valkenburg has always felt 'different'. One of the most painful memories as a child was his slightly darker skin color and his thick lips, Huub avoided the sun so as not to get even blacker.
