In 2004, exactly ten years ago, ten new countries joined the European Union. In 2007 Romania and Bulgaria were added, and in 2013 Croatia, three countries from the former Eastern Bloc. Now the question is whether accession - politically, socially, civicly and economically - has been a good choice for the latter new member states.
