Zhangke feels closely related to the Chinese Fenyang, where he also shot some of his films. The city district has a special history as well as deep-rooted cultural traditions and enjoys a strong economy. Since Zhangke recently set up a literature festival, he invited the authors Jia Pingwa, Yu Hua and Liang Hong.
