Yek Tasveer, Do Bardasht plot

By cutting, superimposing and commenting on the historical images from the British Petroleum archive via photos and films, Sanaz Sohrabi tells a different history; one that shows the effect of the monopolization and exploitation of natural resources on the domestic political situation. And also how the rigged system for the production and distribution of images was eventually reclaimed by a thriving anti-colonial film movement: the Iranian New Wave.
