"A film about Pier Paolo Pasolini"
This is a documentary about the complex and controversial artist that was Pier Paolo Pasolini, filmmaker, poet, writer and essayist. Born in 1922 on the day Musolini took power, Pasolini was assassinated on November 2, 1975 in a suburb of Rome. This documentary spends most of its time on three people who knew Pasolini very well; Laura Betti, his former girlfriend and muse, has starred in some of his films; Alberto Moravia, the gifted intellectual left-wing writer, who traveled to Morocco with Pasolini; and Antonietta Macciochi, editor of a communist newspaper for which Pasolini wrote a column. Bernardo Bertolucci, director, will also speak.
