White Earth plot

Every year, thousands of immigrants desperately try to find work in the oil fields of the White Earth town in North Dakota. The working lives of four children and a mother, who have just arrived at this workplace, are shown. They have to endure harsh conditions such as a harsh winter. How they envisioned the idea of the 'American Dream', and how it has changed, becomes painfully clear.
