When the Mountains Tremble plot

This documentary tells the story of a war that, although it affected a shocking number of people, has barely made the news. The film revolves around Rigoberta Menchú, an Indian woman who defied the might of the Guatemalan army. When they decimated a helpless Mayan culture, they did not count on the strength and perseverance of the inspiring Menchú. Documentary makers Pamela Yates and Newton Thomas Siegel sought out Rigoberta Menchú to record the story.
