War on Women: The New Battle for Abortion in America plot

On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the right to abortion. This decision came from justices affiliated with the religious ultra-right wing of the Republican Party. Since then, 16 states have restricted abortion or are in the process of banning it altogether, even in cases of rape or incest. Despite these restrictions, the majority of Americans continue to support abortion, and civil resistance is emerging. The documentary follows the efforts of doctors, lawyers, and volunteers who fight to preserve this right.

The title makes it clear which side Denvers is on in the complex debate over abortion rights in the US. In 2018, the US Supreme Court ruled that abortion rights are no longer federal and that responsibility for legislation in this area returns to the states. Denvers focuses on the way in which radical groups have tried to undermine abortion rights for more than 30 years and on the practical problems of various laws. Nevertheless, there is enough room for dissenting voices that make it clear that abortion is not a black-and-white issue, even if it is questionable whether Joe Pojman, founder of the 'Texas Alliance For Life' is really as moderate as he pretends to be.
