Voice of a Nation: My Journey through Afghanistan plot

The former Afghan home of filmmaker Jawed Taiman had a strong floral scent and the courtyard was full of beautiful trees. Now it is dry and bare. Taiman, who fled his homeland with his family in the 1980s, travels through Afghanistan and reflects on the past decade with various Afghans. He does this from the perspective of both an insider and an outsider: he does not know the bare Afghanistan, only that of the flowers. So he speaks to bakers, farmers, children, the highly educated, students, officials and even rebels.
