Virgin Tales plot
Evangelical Christians in the United States have embarked on a crusade against the prevailing sexual morality in their country. One in eight girls in the country vow to remain virgins until marriage. But the seven Wilson children go one step further: they even save their first kiss all the way to the altar. Cinematographer Mirjam von Arx follows the family for two years, while some of the children search for their chosen prince or princess and prepare for their fairytale wedding. But the documentary also explores a more fundamental evolution: how the religious right in America is preparing a young generation of virgins for an evangelical utopia.
