Venus of Mars plot

Venus may look quite striking, but in daily life he/she is a neatly married, almost bourgeois figure. Venus calls herself 'transgender': not a man, not a woman, but something in between. Venus was born in Duluth, Minnesota, as Steve Grandell. At a young age he married his school friend Lynette. He was not happy, but it took years before he dared to acknowledge the cause of his depression.
