Wladyslaw Starewicz, also known as Ladislas Starewitch (1882-1965) is also seen as the European Walt Disney. He was a pioneer of puppet animation and stop motion, and is one of the most forgotten film geniuses. He was referred to as a true 'magician' and an 'alchemist of animation', whose sorcery was born in Lithuania. He got his fame in Russia and flourished in France in full force. Unique methods of animation, never disclosed to others. Who was he? 'Vabzdziu Dresuotojas' attempts to decipher Starewicz.
