Vaarwel VMBO - Op de Drempel van Succes plot

On the first day of school, Master Ruud Rosier introduces himself with a lot of humor to the class of which he will be mentor for the next important exam year. His past is clear: raised in children's homes and foster families, an alcoholic mother and a sister who died of an overdose. He speaks the language of his 'guppies' and 'chicks' and keeps the bunch in check fairly well from time to time. The students struggle with all kinds of behavioral and adjustment problems. One of them even ends up in a juvenile detention center. Rosier himself provides voice-over comments and reflections about teaching at a pre-vocational secondary education.
